So our family Christmas was last Sunday night, and I can finally show you the presents I was working on so madly.
Last winter, the online magazine Knitty published a pattern (Free! All their patterns are free. I love Knitty.) for a unique hat. Originally designed for a young boy who wants to be a sea biologist, it looks like ... well, it looks like a dead fish is eating your head. I was immediately captivated, of course. (You may want to refer back to my first post about these, where I said something about family weirdness.)
So, for the last year, off and on, I've been working to produce these (closeups courtesy of the lovely Emma):
Because nothing says Merry Christmas like a dead fish.

Excuse me ... but did you know there's a dead fish on your head?
